2025 Bus Trip to Sarnia Area

With a full bus of 56 members, our first stop was a private garden in Strathroy. "Frank's Daylilies" was breathtaking with 1000's of daylilies filling his backyard. His son Kyle is a daylily 'specialist' who propagates new varieties. Strathroy-Caradoc Horticultural Society treated us to refreshments.
We had a wagon tour through the blueberry fields at "Parks Blueberries" near Bothwell and enjoyed a delicious lunch including a giant blueberry tart of course!
A very rainy bus ride took us to our next destination, the "Stones 'n Bones Museum" in Sarnia  -  a true hidden gem. An amazing collection of gemstones, fossils, butterflies, animals, dinosaurs and so much more.....including giant insects nightmares are made of!
DeGroots Nursery provided a quick shopping stop for we plant lovers, once we got past the flooded parking lot.
Just down the road, supper was thoroughly enjoyed at "John's Restaurant".    - Heather
