First Ever June Garden Festival!

Saturday June 16 2018 we held our first Garden Festival at the neighbouring homes of Astrid and Sheila from noon to 4pm. Rain threatened in the morning but everything stayed dry under the canopies and the afternoon was lovely! People brought lawn chairs and sat in the shade while Astrid gave demonstrations in Flower Arrangement mostly using plants from her garden. There was a table full of valuable Silent Auction items donated by local businesses and there were lots of bids and bargains! A 'Kids Corner' had crafts and activities for the younger set, and there were lots of yummy baked goods available. Six independent vendors came and set up their wares for curious people to buy so there was always something interesting going on! As a bonus we were able to tour Astrid and Sheila's beautiful properties!
